His career began when he was 18 years old and decided to enroll in Francisco Marroquin University, where years later he graduated as a surgeon. He later specialized in traumatology and orthopedics at the University of San Carlos, and finally subspecialized in arthroscopy and sports surgery at the University of Cleveland.
